I too, only consumed the first book and I felt like it was telling 15-year-olds to be weak and subservient to men who want to bite them...my own issues I'm sure.
One of my all-time favs is "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver (and "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamante, but we share that obsession). Harry Potter is not a book series, it's a way of life, so be careful with that one...I am a self-confessed "Potterist" I am actually thinking about going inactive for it.
Miss you much lady!! Some people have a hard time following the language. I love Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, and Mansfield Park. Emma is great too!SugarHouse Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09610677187275087297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6335941737821496491.post-13125834387669686322009-01-05T12:34:00.000-08:002009-01-05T12:34:00.000-08:00Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke. Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. I liked it, however keep in mind that I only read the first twilight book and found it so weird and slightly masochistic/sensual that I couldn't keep going. Why, I ask you, is a LDS girl writing romance novels about vampires and underage girls?
