Slowly but surely....

Moving in has been a SLOW process! However, we have made SOME progress. Lets take the nursery for example. This is the only room of the house I have actually enjoyed unpacking and putting together. And I THOUGHT I had done such a GREAT job of not over-buying LOADS of baby stuff....until I cracked open the boxes and
 hung up all the clothes in the closet. .. .. . .. . ..

Notice the boy section on the left. Im guessing there are maybe 30 outfits or so. Then the wishful thinking girl section on the right. It has 10 items. And 5 of them are unisex. I am too ashamed to show you the dresser drawers. But they are FULL of white sleepsuits and socks and onesies. Im an addict I tell you!

And here is our crib, which we LOVE. Thanks Grammy Sherry for our cutest piece of house furniture!!! This was a great knock off of a much more expensive version and we were shocked at how cute it turned out. I typically HATE Walmart...but in this case, I gotta say, they outdid themselves! The bedding too was a clearance find from Walmart. Im pretty sure its just as cute as the Dwell set I thought I needed.
The rest of the room is bare, and open to pregnancy induced interpretation. Im completely unable to make decorating decisions lately. I might throw some decals on the wall or some other artsy thing. As always, I am open to all of your suggestions!

Last, but not least....I thought Id share a picture of our living room. Dont be jealous but...we do have seating for UP TO two people. And cast your eyes on our chic end table (a la maroon tupperware). In case you are wondering what all the random pillows and blankets are, well lets just say that LLOYD thought it necessary to take the cushions off our lovely love seat...and leave behind the pillows from my white sectional. I do believe he was a bit confused when it came to pilfering a complete set of couch and pillows. This is just what is left and we cant complain, because otherwise we'd have a sleeping bag to sit on in its place! THANKFULLY, our new couches are coming this week.  If you can even believe it,  our friends The Vehars came and stayed with us this weekend...and we ALL sat on this couch and watched The Karate Kid. Thats 2 pregnant wives, 2 Large husbands, and 1 adorable toddler. I will let you imagine how it looked.

Your crib is very cute. Wal-Mart, really? I'm shocked. I guess I should give 'em a chance every now and then but I'd be betraying my beloved Target. We wouldn't want to hurt it's feelings. It may stop producing amazingly inexpensive children's clothes. :) Good luck getting settled in. It's fun to move when your pregnant...

Cute stuff!! I wish I had decorating ideas...maybe some painted shapes on the walls, my sister has lady bugs for her baby painted on her walls...pretty cute. Either way, your baby will be well dressed!

Darn that LlOYD!!! Oh well, at least you're looking at the bright side of things...much better than a sleeping bag. I love the baby's room! Way to go on the shopping. I think it's really fun to change Molly into a cute new outfit when she spits up or has a blow out. It justifies her rather large wardrobe.

Holy Crow,
You have more stuff than I do. I'm sure this is just the tip of the ice-berg. You haven't even had a baby shower. Just wait.

Can't wait to see your new couches! We'll have to have a girls movie night to enjoy them and the HUGE screen that Gabe insisted on buying.

What's truly appalling is not only does this not include shower goods, but is is also not taking into account the massive amounts of baby stuff headed your way (even if your baby should not turn out to be a girl, it's still coming...) Seriously- don't buy ONE more girl thing! Lila is getting chubbier by the second and won't be wearing her 0-3 month stuff for long. Our entire garage is basically headed your way in a few short months...prepare now.

And I love the bedding- so cute.

I too love the bedding-never under estimate Walmart I always find good things there. Also, for the shopping part there really isn't anything anyone can tell you because it really is addicting. I shopped till the day before I had Vanessa & don't regret a cent of it. Shop lots now because once the baby comes that will soon slow down.
