Whew!

Our week in pictures:

GIRLS CAMP!
Our theme was Tonga, so enjoy our fierce poses and makeup. Despite the rain, and tick infestation - we survived. Of course, I only made it through one day. But thanks to a sinus infection (or maybe strep, I never did get tested...) Ill always have the memories of wednesday at Camp Glenwood.

My soon to be  sister in law Kallie had her bridal shower. Here is a photo of her favorite gift: can you say pressure??? I dont know WHO would have given her such a present. Perhaps it was tucked inside a 'naughty contraband' gift bag...as a "just in case". Perhaps we all know that Kallie is the MOST baby hungry girl there ever was? Perhaps I should have wrapped it along with some onesies....

And her infamous towels and lingerie cake. Kallie's mom Pam is so talented and amazing. Have you ever seen such outstanding craftsmanship???

Fathers day was extra lame and low key this year due to my sickness, and a sick baby to boot. We pretty much laid around watching movies and eating ourselves into a coma. I told Gabe that  I wouldn't rat him out, so just enjoy this poster, which had NOTHING to do with our weekend:
I know, I know. Im the worst wife ever. I swear ill celebrate better next year. The poor guy didn't even get a necktie or a pair of socks. Just me. Swooning over Edward.

And finally, Im sure you all watched the TLC special because who can resist criticizing the craziness that is the Gosselins? Poor Jon and Kate - Officially filed for divorce. Was it the money? Was it the fame? I personally am blaming Kate's orange spray on tan addiction. That, and Jon's wet noodle of a girlfriend the schoolteacher. woof. Still its very very sad. Ill miss taping the insanity and sitting Gabe down to show him how really lucky he is to be married to me.

* Also, jon was sporting a very immature, disgusting pair of p-diddy diamond earrings on the show. And when asked how he is coping with the split, he replied with ' on one hand its sad. but on the other, its a really exciting chapter in my life. Im only 33. "
Peter pan syndrome claims yet another victim.

So I know you're all dying to tell me what you think of them. Spill it!

Yes, you are 33 but you have 8 kids!!! Lets focus on that a bit. Plus, those earrings were a tragedy in itself!!! We missed you this weekend!

I totally agree with the diamond earings [that was one of the first things I noticed]... EEEWWW!!! :)

AND; yes it is way sad! How awkward that the parents are actually going to have to go and 'stay' at the 'kid's' house. SAD story.

yeah...they are both RETARDED! She is a beast and he should have thought about "only being 33" before he got married and had 8 kids...sorry you just can't decide to undo that...what an idiot. AND the earrings...seriously...
seriously?

So, when this post showed up in my google reader I could only see the pictures since the words were white, which left me to create my own captions for all of the hilarious pictures. Then I read what you actually wrote and it all made more sense!

Jon and Kate are RIDICULOUS! Did you notice how she's suddenly aware of her public image as a wench and is now thoughtfully explaining how she didn't want to upset Jon, but it made more sense for the weird little houses to go in a different area?

I had all of these same thoughts myself. It's just crazy. Of course as a newcomer to the world of cable, I watched every episode with horrified delight...

I only saw the earrings on the 5 minute blurb on Good Morning America and woof is all I have to say. I think it's tragic for the children but it's not like being on tv your whole life is healthy either. I think the whole thing is messed up and disturbing.

Ok, I MUST comment on Jon + 8 and Kate + 8 (that's what the new show should be named). SO SAD!!! And might i say SO LAME! I say cowboy up Jon and Kate stop nagging. Yeah, what was with his "i'm only 32 comment"...what is that supposed to mean?!?! His kids are going to look back on this little clip and think my dad was an idiot and just DIDN't GET IT!!! Family IS the most important thing LAME-O!

Also I love the super special father's day you threw for Gabe. At least you were sick and had an exuse. I forgot Valentine's Day and it was not a pretty sight :(

The earrings are RIDICULOUS and he needs to grow up. I think actually Kate was trying to raise 9 kids!

I think that the most tragic part is that when Jon was confronted with the prospect of becoming cool and hip again in preparation for hitting the singles scene that his last frame of reference was the mid-nineties. I could just see him re-watching all of the seasons of 90210 before buying a whole new wardrobe and piercing his ears. Either that or he's getting ready for his new HBO series "Jon and Mitch get Hitched."
