Christmas, U-haul, and a whole lotta Lemonade!

So here is the big update. Seriously, there is going to be a lot of information revealed in this posting so you might want to gather your husbands and wives around for the news!

First of all, our Christmas this year was SPECTACULAR! We had almost too much excitement to contain, and had to sleep off the aftermath for days and days. We flew home to Idaho and spent a few days with the Beals in freezing cold but bealutiful Arco. The highlites for me were attending church (the WHOLE town came!) and winning -yes winning the family game of RAGE. Thanks again, to my sweet husband who insisted on claiming that wild yellow 15 card out from under me at the last minute, thereby sealing his fate as LOSER. We watched tons of movies and ate and ate until near-explosion. BLISS. On christmas day Gabe went Ice fishing with everyone and I had the house all to myself for a few hours. Youd think I would have fixed my hair, taken a nap, read a book, pet a cow - something. But no. I floated in the blue bathtub for almost 2 hours and followed it up with 4 episodes of my current addiction - GRAYS ANATOMY. It was sheer christmas joy for me. In fact, ive never felt so jolly. I was Mc-Jolly.

After Arco, we headed to Boise for Crandall Christmas. This entails virtually no physical activity, no sleep, and days full of wild little girls running about in crazy costumes. My neices are too hillarious and adorable for words. They are growing up so fast, they are almost whole people. Its a good thing Jayna is pregnant with another girl (due in may) or else we would have baby withdrawl and probably die. Uncle Gabe is their favorite and they watch him like a giant caged animal...slightly in awe, slightly terrified. And they must know where he is at all times!

We did the annual sleigh ride up at Bogus Basin and this year we were prepared for the cold. My parents went out and bought all of us layers and layers of magic black undergarments and we stayed toasty warm. It was fun to see the girls who are horse fanatics. Grace kept asking if she could hold the reigns!

It was presents as usual and then some family down time, before heading back to San Diego. I didnt visit any old friends which was sad, but this can be excused because I will see them all in about 2 weeks. Why you might ask? well...after much consideration and one almost-crisis, Gabe and I have decided to MOVE HOME TO IDAHO. YAY! We officially leave California on January 16th. We will stay with my parents for a month or two until we move into our house, and we cant wait.

Now I know what all of you are thinking. Why oh why would we ever leave San Diego? The sun, the beach, the shopping, the tiny tiny condo with NO ROOM FOR A CRIB! Yes, you heard me right. We are pregnant and hoping this one sticks! My doctor had me on bedrest all through december with a threatened miscarriage, and I had to quit my job which was really hard. I sat in the dark condo day and night, night and day. And by some miracle and after lying very very still for 3 weeks doing nothing but watching grays anatomy...we had a heart beat. And a little tiny seahorse. We are just really excited and ready. And im looking forward to building a nursery, instead of designating the area behind the couch, in front of the computer as the babys 'room'! We are not going to find out if its a boy or girl (because Im sure its a boy)...so we will let you know after its born around JULY 30th.

So, there you have it. We will keep you posted on the move and the baby. HAPPY 2008!

CONGRATS! WOW! I am so excited for you! I bet it'll be an adorable girl. This seems to be the year to have a girl. Just imagine Gabe putting dresses on your little doll of a daughter! Well, either way, your child is going to be the best looking thing ever with YOU as the mommy! That is the best news ever! YAY! Good luck with the move next week, I'll probably be in the hospital delivering our little bun from the oven.
