White Trash Saturday

hile my husband was out romping in the wilderness with his brothers for the weekend, my best friend Jamie and I took her little boy Levi to Sandy Point (lucky Peak) for a few hours. It was so dang hot outside that we thought it would be fun to hit up some sort of water activity. BUT the water was even more filthy and disgusting than I remembered it being as a kid. It had all these moldy floaties of seaweed mush all along the shallow parts, and some sort of bacterial film covering the top layer. PLUS, there was no sand to be found.  Poor Levi tried to build a sand castle and ended up with a large pile of rocks. we could barely walk to the water to dip our feet in to cool off, it felt like razor blades. While Levi played Jamie and I layed out on my 10 dollar lawn chairs from Wal-mart and read up on the latest tabloids and trashy celeb magazines. I even rolled up my maternity swimsuit to tan my baby for a while, thus completing our white trash beach experience. Enjoy the photos - this is what living in Idaho is all about :)

I was going to ask you what you did on Sat.and now I know. Cute pictures! You hardly look pregnant at all so I don't want to hear anymore about your cankles. Clearly you don't have any :)

I love your saying 'this is what living in Idaho is all about.' You have to get creative, and you and Jamie did it! Totally awesome.
