Doctors Appointment

Well today was super depressing. I went to the Docs and he told me no change had occurred like I had anticipated. I was hoping he'd check me and say, well gee - youre dilated to a 3 and 50% effaced...lets send you over and start a little pitocin. BUT of COURSE this DID NOT happen. He looked at me and said - time to start preparing for 2 more weeks - and 5 more pounds. And I must have had a really sad look on my face because he then hugged me in that 'poor daughter' kind of way that bishops and dads have.

oh, and Im group B strep positive. GREAT. That means I get to be hooked up to an IV for 4-8 hours before the baby is born which totally blows my 'labor at home as long as I can' plan. It greatly increased my chances of getting the epidural just because who has the will power when its available and you are forced to be laying in bed suffering instead of chillin in your own jetted spa at home??? Oh well.

The good news is that regardless of what it looks like, it really could fall out any minute. And My sister assured me - it WILL come out. Since shes had 3 girls, I believe this to be true. ALLL 3 of her children did in fact come out. And its a good thing...because being pregnant SUCKS!!!!!!

ill keep you posted. Sorry I have no pictures to post, but just imagine my face - only puffier and depressed.

Not that I have experienced it, but it will happen, I am sure. And then you will be like me: sleep deprived, irritated and desperately in love with this tiny thing all at the same time. I cant wait to meet your baby! Then Chase can have his new best friend.

The last four weeks are the WORST! You just want it to be over and it keeps on lasting. It is really close, I can't wait to see Beal Junior. Have the baby before the 31st for me so we will be there.

Girl, let me tell you, it's not all that being dilated to a 3 cause I walked around at a 3 for the last 4 weeks of each of my pregnancies. I even got to a 4 and they didn't send me to the hospital. AND I was strep B positive the first 3 times. AND I was late the first 3 times. Believe me when I say, I feel your pain. I really do! I know this sucks major butt-crack, but you gotta keep truckin'. It'll happen and this crappy time will all be a distant memory soon. I PROMISE!

Oh Little Christy...The time seems to stop when you get to this point, but soon (really soon) you will have the cutest little bug ever to snuggle. Sleep while you can, even if you are uncomfortable. There is no more sleep after baby. Try to stay cool and hope the baby doesn't Really look like an alien. Your belly is sooo cute!

Hey Christy, if you call me when you hooked up to the iv and in labor, I will come and add myself to the line of friends and family waiting to torture with kindness.

Also I am making plans to come and cook you dinner so let me kinow if you like your spaghetti with meat or without.

I know the end is no good, but it is so worth it. Being a mom is so awesome. It is so much better than I ever expected it to be. I am so freakin' excited for you. I check you blog every do just to see if you have had the baby yet. I am rooting for ya! Hang in there and I will think good thoughts. I have some good ideas on how to induce labor naturally if you want them :) Let me know!

You're so cute :) I can totally back Jayna up, the baby WILL come out at some point! My doctor said he wouldn't let me go past a week after my due date with Clyde, so I just kept telling myself that no matter what I wouldn't be pregnant after September 9th. And then he came the day before his due date!

The last days/weeks of pregnancy are uncomfortable. Especially if you feel totally prepared for the baby to arrive. I'm sure you and Gabe have all the necessities. P.S. when the baby does come, make sure Gabe knows how to post pictures on your blog. If not, I'll be checking Jaynas for updates!
