5 weeks old

"Panser" is already a chubby 5 week old baby. How did this happen? Hes so big and floppy and fat that I squeeze him into 3 month clothes with no problem. He spends his days lounging about and lapping up heavy cream - and even takes time out of his busy day to give me the cutest drunken smiles Ive ever seen. I love when they start to smile on demand! If only I could make him hold it long enough to get a picture!

Brigitte has given him the name "Panser" which sounds even more hilarious when she says it. I LOVE all his rolls. He eats every two hours around the clock....Im very tired. And he is very fat.

He is soooo mellow compared to Brigitte it isnt funny. Even with his colic which we are still trying to get under control. Im tempted to give up nursing just so he isnt so uncomfortable with a rock hard belly and unrelenting gas! (And also because not eating any dairy, chocolate, citrus, or caffeine makes ME uncomfortable ). Anyone out there know of any magical colic cures?  Oh how I miss tomatoes and cheese....

I can't wait to meet the little chunker! I will also be there Sunday through Tuesday next week before we head down to utah for a week and then come back.

Oh he is just darling!!

You probably have tried it, but if not... try gripe water. I've only used it a few times... we are a simeticone family, but Sam likes it. I can never get the full dose down- it's just too much volume, but might work.

I can't believe he is 5 weeks.

He is ADORABLE. Absolutely gorgeous!!! There's nothing better than a little baby chunk...especially on the thighs. Love it.

p.s. for the colic, try gripe water - you can get it at Walgreens for like ten bucks. We didn't have much luck with it, but have heard it great stories about it working for others. We had the best luck with baby Mylicon. We only had to use it for about 2 weeks. It worked wonders. I'm with you, can't give up MY food for the baby. He just had to figure out how to deal with it!! :)

He's getting soo big and so incredibly cute! I love him already. My cure for colic? Survival sister. I never found anything that really helped and I tried it all, believe me. I wasn't nursing and had to use this crazy expensive formula (Nutramigen) and that seemed to helped a little bit. Good luck!

Oh, what a sweet little (big!) boy. No advice on the colic, sorry - I hope you figure something out soon though!!

Gripe water totally helped Corbin. He didn't sleep through the night until I started putting it in his last bedtime bottle.

Oh what a SWEET baby boy!! Enjoy every minute! Although I bet it's tough to enjoy w/o caffeine and around the clock feedings! Have you tried the mylocon gas drops before you nurse him? WOrked like a charm w/ molly. kate eats and burps like 2 seconds after...its great!
