and since my Christmas cards are STILL sitting here unwritten, unassembled, unstamped, and undelivered....
Please accept this very festive online version.
Yes - its blurry. And No - the children wouldn't look at the camera. Photo taking ranks among the top most dreaded activities of my list this year (right behind exercising and giving up bacon). In every single picture there was a ghostly shape of wispy mysteriousness - that would be Brigitte running by. And Spencer who is usually SO happy to sit and smile for me, has started to rebel. So this was it. Can you feel the cheer?
2010 was of course one of our best years ever. Gabe has stayed employed, I have stayed somewhat psychologically intact after the birth of our second child. (but only somewhat). Brigitte continues to spread heaps of joy and messes wherever she may go. And Butters is as sweet and lovely as the day he was born.
The children still operate on about 6-7 hours of sleep a night, which means I still operate on 6-7 diet cokes per hour. But who am I to complain? What on earth would I do without my 6:30 am wake up call of "MOOOOOMMM - wheres the 'mote honey???" (which translated means hurry up and find the remote and turn on yo gabba gabba.)
Brigitte still wont potty train (she claims her pannies are"too small honey") and Spencer is trying desperately to walk at only 8 months! When our lives arent spiraling violently out of control we have just enjoyed the constant loveliness of having 2 small wild children. We have given up completely on the idea of teaching them correct principles or raising them right. Those concepts were founded by parents who get more than 2 hours of continuous sleep at a time. We focus more on running to catch them when we hear the words READY and SET.... coming from the top of the staircase.
We hope your year has been filled with fabulous memories and fun. And less caffeine that ours was...
